My sister just sent me a link to this fantastic series of photos, documenting ruins around Detroit. Some of you may know that I first got into photography because I loved exploring old abandoned buildings in my local area. Often, the old buildings I photographed would soon get torn down – which actually made me sad, as I consider these works of art in themselves. Images like these work their way into my dreams often, so I wish I could go shoot some projects at these locations.
Have a look at some of my faves and head on over to the Denver Post website to see the whole series. All photos are by Yves Marchand and Romain Meffre, and there is a book called “The Ruins of Detriot” available via the link.
