Female Eye Film Festival 2010

This year I had the pleasure of photographing the 8th Annual Female Eye Film Festival.  I got to meet and photograph some amazing talent, including Catherine Hardwicke (director, Twilight/Thirteen), Carson Kressley (Queer Eye for the Straight Guy), Karen Black (Easy Rider), Kit Redmond (RTR Media), and many more.

I also got to check out a few amazing films (though not nearly as many as I’d have liked to, I was so busy shooting!) and definitely recommend these ones:

16 to Life directed by Becky Smith – a coming-of-age comedy about a young woman who has the worst sweet-16 birthday, and has never been kissed.

Black Field directed by Danishka Esterhazy – a gothic romance/suspense set in the Canadian prairies.  This unlikely-sounding tale will draw you in.

Love at the Twilight Motel directed by Alison Rose – fantastic documentary examining regulars at rent-by-the hour motels on the Miami Strip.

Here are some behind the scenes pics….stay tuned for the Catherine Hardwicke portraits which will be released on my website very soon!
